As teachers, child care providers, program developers and overall educational professionals we do have to treat each child as if they were our own. We want the best for our own children as do the parents of all the children whose lives we touch. Lilian Katz's quote is so true. I do not feel most educational professionals follow this quote. I know I try to do my best by every child. It's one thing to 'screw up' your own child, but entirely different to 'screw up' somebody else's child. Sometimes we are the only chance a child has.
